Mission:

Our mission is to serve as advocates to educate and unite equestrians and the community to enhance opportunities in the Gallatin Valley for equestrian activities:

To establish equestrian trails through cooperative efforts with government agencies, other non-profits, and landowners.

To create an equestrian park serving diverse equestrian needs in the Gallatin Valley and the larger region.

GallEP Organizational Values

Trails:
Persuade City of Bozeman to adopt Equestrian Addendum to PROST Plan
Designate one mile of new horse trail in Gallatin Valley

Continue building membership
Begin compiling horse-friendly trails near Gallatin Valley guide/map
Continue serving on local boards: Gallatin County Planning Board, Gallatin County Park and Trail Committee, Greater Bozeman Area Transportation Coordinating Committee, Association of Gallatin Agricultural Irrigators, Gallatin/Big Sky Noxious Weed Committee

2008 Accomplishments:

  • Present GallEP's concern for equestrian inclusion in trails planning to the County Commissioners and County Planning Department.
  • Complete Web site design and make available to the public.
  • Update, make available on the website, and distribute GallEP's brochure.
  • Organize and participate in Ride-into-Town Days.
  • Organize a horse presence in the Sweet Pea Parade.
  • Complete our 501c-3 application.
